We are currently looking to recruit a new Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for managing the volunteer programme at the Newbold Trust, with support from the Managing Director. Main duties include recruiting, training, coordinating and supporting both residential and non residential/local volunteers.
The aim of the volunteer programme is to provide an experience of living and working in a centre committed to ‘Nurturing Positive Change’ through environmental regeneration, community wellbeing and self awareness. Volunteers work across a variety of departments enabling them to learn skills to support them at both a personal and career level. The volunteer coordinator’s main role is to ensure that volunteers benefit from their experience at Newbold, while also ensuring the programme supports the daily functioning and overall mission of the Trust.
This role requires someone with excellent interpersonal, organisational, communication and administration skills. They should have experience in volunteer management within the third sector and the ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds.
All roles at Newbold require a genuine interest in and passion for the values and objectives of the Trust i.e. sustainability, social justice, wellbeing, nature connection and personal development. It is desirable to have some experience of living and/or working in a residential community and a commitment to supporting this way of life.
